Ultrasound FAQs

What if we can’t see baby’s face?

We will do all we can in-studio to get baby to move to a position where we can see his face.  Sometimes babies just don’t cooperate.  Mom  will be sent home with the best possible images from the ultrasound session, but every baby is different and some moms will have better images than others.

When is the best time to come for HD/chubby baby face pictures?

Weeks 27 – 32 are optimal.

When can I come for my twins’ HD baby face scan?

Weeks 24-27 are best for twins.

How should I prepare for my scan?

To get the best images, drink 2 bottles of water per day for one whole week before your appointment! Also, have a juice or ice cold water 5 minutes before your appointment!

What’s the difference between 2D/3D/4D/HD ultrasound?

  • 2D ultrasound produces the “classic” black and white ultrasound pictures
  • 3D ultrasound produces flesh tone images that show the surface and contours of skin
  • 4D ultrasound just means 3D or HD imaging in motion
  • HD ultrasound gives a more life like, bright, and highlighted image

What if baby is sleeping?

Sleeping, awake..doesn’t matter.  The main goal is to get baby in a position that allows us to get images.  Sometimes mom has to move and stretch to make that happen.

How many guests can I bring?

We have seating for 4 guests in the ultrasound room.

Do you take walk-ins?

An appointment is required.

What is the late policy?

We have a grace period of 15 minutes.  After that, we might not be able to accommodate you.  Please call/text 248-200-9055 if you are running late.

How do you accept payment?

Credit card.
